A Brief Analysis of Presupposition in the Man that Corrupted Hadleyburg

In this essay,the author tries to bring language and literature together,try to analysis how presupposition works in one of Mark Twain's novel——The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg.That is to say,try to find how humour effect and dramatic effect can achieve from the features and the utilization of presupposition;by the features of presupposition,such as its subjectiveness,its ambiguity and its cancellation,and by the utilization of presupposition,such as by imposed presupposition and by taking over the used presupposition.
