Development of High Performance Silicone-Modified Acrylate Emulsion

Study was made of emulsion polymerization of organic silicone monomers 3-(triethoxysilyl)propylmethacrylatewith acrylic monomers and high performance silicone-modified acrylate emulsion was prepared. Factors such as deionizedwater content, matching of soft and hard monomers, way of addition and content of silicone influencing emulsion propertieswere discussed. Coatings prepared with silicone-modified acrylate emulsion was better water resistant, their scrubbingresistance could be as many as 60000 times which was ranked domestically leading.
