Hur porträtteras invandrarrepresentation i media? En kritisk diskursanalys

The aim and purpose of this study has been to examine how Swedish media portrays migran-representation. This essay show my conclusion on how four Swedish newspapers – morning and evening press – portrays migrant representation. I have chosen articles from the largest newspapers and they are all chosen in the year of 2010, 2011 and 2012. I have used the critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough to analyze how the media portrays migrant-representation by finding three discourses. The conclusion drawn is that the media portrays the concept of migrant-representation as the lack of competence, party-responsibility and the migrants being a part of their own ethnical collective.
