摘要
The multiple collisions between an optical pulse and a temporal boundary in highly noninstantaneous Kerr media are investigated. The pulse exhibits parabolic-like motion from its acceleration phase to its collision with the temporal boundary. The collision location is influenced by the position of the temporal boundary, the noninstantaneous response of the media, and the power of the pulse. Additionally, the evolution of the wave-form profile after the collision is analyzed. The findings indicate that the pulse splits into reflected and transmitted components, with the evolution of these profiles being proportional to the ratio of the pulse power to the medium's relaxation time. Finally, simulations of the pulse's temporal evolution over ten dispersion lengths show that the reflected pulse undergoes a secondary collision with the temporal boundary.
