Importance of Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA): Antidiabetic and Antioxidant Effects

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is an acid know for its positive effects on health, in particular its antidiabetic and antioxidant effects, and its effects on weight loss. Given its properties, in this study we want to explain in detail the mechanisms that determine these effects, also based on what is found in the literature.
