Influences of 8-Br-cAMP on the telomerase activity and P53 expression in the human lung adenocarcinoma cell A549 line

Aim:To investigate the influence of 8-Br-cAMP on the telomerase activity and P53 expression in the human lung adenocarcinoma cell line(A549).Methods:The human 1ung adenocarcinoma cell line(A549)was treated with 8-Br-cAMP (20 μmol/L,60 μmol/L),and the human lung adenocarcinoma cell untreated was taken as sham control. P53 expression and the telomerase activity were detected by immunohistochemisty and PCR-ELISA method in the course of differentiation of A549 cells.Results:Both P53 expression and the telomerase activity were signficantly decreased in the A549 cell line treated with 8-Br-cAMP.Conclusion:8-Br-cAMP could inhibit the telomerase activity and the P53 expression of A549 cells.
