Clinical study of cocurrent chemoradiotherapy with intensity modulated radiotherapy(IMRT) in 30 patiens of relapse Nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Objective:To investigate the effects and side effects of chemoradiotherapy with intensity modulated radiotherapy(IMRT) in the relapse Nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods:Total of 30 patients with relapse nasopharyngeal carcinoma were irradiated by IMRT technique.And also treated with chemoradiotherapy.Results:Of 30 patients,CR,PR,NC were 53.33%,23.33%,23.33%,respectively.The 1-year survival rates was 93.33%,the 1-year Local-regional control rate was 83.33%,the 1-year distant metastasis-free survival rate was 18.5%.Conclusion:Chemoradiotherapy plus IMRT is effective and well—tolerated for the treatment of relapse NPC.
