Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics of synovitis-acne-pustulosis-hyperostosis-osteitis syndrome(SAPHO) and to improve the understanding of SAPHO syndrome.Methods:Relative data on 5 cases of SAPHO were analysized and summarized.Results:The clinical manifestations were different degree changes of skin,bones and joints.The main pathological changes were seen in anterior chest wall,sternoclavicular joint and spine.The positive rates of X ray were 80%(4/5)and 100%(3/3) of CT on positions such as anterior chest wall and sternoclavicular joints.There were positive changes on CT and MRI of the spine.Conclusion:It is easy to misdiagnose SAPHO syndrome in clinics and it is necessary to develop imaging examinations.It is possible to reduce clinical symptoms and slow the progress through early treatment.
