This paper presents a method for broadening bandwidth of matching layer transducer.Both odd modes and even modes are excited simultaneously by one-side exciting. By this way,the band of the matching layer transducer can achieve two octaves. The FEM(finite element method)is used to optimize the dimensions of the transducer. The paper describes the design process and the measure results.A transducer is designed with its bandwidth from 10kHz to 30kHz,and the fluctuation of Transmitting Voltage Response is±3.3dB.
