Zoning and traffic

This monograph updates and revises research contained in an earlier work entitled Zoning Applied to Parking (1947) and examines the topic of zoning and traffic circa 1952. In this study, a more careful analysis of zoning for off-street loading requirements is made and other areas in which zoning might be used to improve traffic operations and provide increased traffic safety are discussed. Chapters focus on a background of zoning applications to traffic; zoning and parking; zoning and loading/unloading; zoning and general land use; and zoning and roadside signs. A variety of tables, figures, and graphs present data collected.
