Research on Intangible Cultural Heritage Tourism Resources:Concept,Classification,Protection and Utilization

There are growing concerns about intangible cultural heritages in China.Unfortunately the understanding of the basic issues around the concept,scope,protection status and the methods of utilization remains vague.This paper analyzed the key terms of the Convention for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritages and the Interim Procedure of Representative State-level Intangible Cultural Heritages.The authors believe that these two authoritative documents can serve as the key to clear fuzzy understandings.Guided by the philosophy of rational use for protection,the paper also discussed solutions to protect intangible cultural heritages while using them as tourism resources.
