Factor Analysis on Natural Regeneration of Platycladus orientalis Artificial Forest in Karst Area of Guizhou Province

Based on the investigation data of 12 sampling plots of Platycladus orientalis artificial forests in karst area of Guizhou province,using the factor analysis method of SPSS statistical software,the influence of eight factors in Platycladus orientalis artificial forest on the number of saplings in natural regeneration was studied.The results showed that the number of Platycladus orientalis new saplings in unit area was positively related with crown density,number of trees and slope aspect.Eight factors affecting the natural regeneration of Platycladus orientalis forest could be summarized as stand structure,soil condition and topographic condition,their role in regeneration was stand structure soil condition topographic condition.
