Graphite oxide was prepared by Hummers′ method and was dispersed in the deionized water with the help of ultrasonic wave to form stable graphene oxide dispersion.After above dispersion was mixed with chloroplatinic acid solution,the graphene oxide rapidly reduced chloroplatinic acid and produce great deal of platinum nanoparticles,which were tightly anchored in the graphene oxide nanosheets.Finally,the obtained graphene oxide/platinum composite was placed in a tube furnace and further reduced in an atmosphere of Ar/H2 under 800 ℃ to graphene/platinum composite.The characterization of morphology and nanostructure shows that the graphite oxide has been thoroughly reduced to graphene and platinum nanoparticles were well dispersed in between draped graphene nanosheets.The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis further revealed the electron transfer impedance of the composite is obviously lower than sole graphene,indicating that the introduction of platinum particles remarkably improve the electrical conductivity.Moreover,the obtained graphene/platinum composite was also applied to electrochemical determination of hydroquinone.The detection limit was found to be 1.6×10-7 mol·L-1.This demonstrated the composite is of excellent electrocatalytic property.
