Preparation,Structure and Property of Montmorillonite/Rubber Nanocomposites

In order to find a new cheap and non-polluting reinforcing material for rubber.montmorillonite/ rubber nanocomposites are prepared by intercalation.SEM and TEM examinations show that the layers of montmoril-lonite are dispersed in rubber in nanometre size,and these nanocomposites exhibit excellent comprehensive properties.Montmorillonite holds much promise as a new reinforcing material for rubber.In this paper the preparation.structure and properties of montmorillonite/rubber nanocomposites are summed up and discussed,and their potential applications in rubber industry are predicted.
