摘要

The development of video technology has made it easier for many people to create videos. One example is deepfake technology, which has led to an increase in the distribution of deepfake videos. We regard students as an educated group and a generation that regularly engages with social media. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine whether students find it easy or difficult to believe the credibility of deepfake video information that spreads on social media. The Formative Measurement Model for Trust served as the research model for this study, which administered questionnaires to 414 student participants. The findings indicate that three out of the five variables have a significant effect on students' confidence in trusting the credibility of deepfake video information on social media. The variables that have a significant effect are user knowledge, platform, and uploader; the variables that do not have a significant effect are comments and accuracy. Therefore, this study provides insight into deepfakes and students' confidence in trusting the credibility of deepfake video information on social media. The objective is that students will become more aware of detecting deepfake videos on social media and for social media application developers will strengthen regulations and security systems to reduce the spread of deepfake videos on social media
