Facile embedding of aromatic carbon rings into the g-C 3 N 4 framework for boosting piezocatalytic water splitting

A facile aromatic carbon ring embedding strategy significantly enhances the piezocatalytic H 2 evolution of g-C 3 N 4 by strengthening dipole moment, π-conjugation and charge separation.
