摘要
The carbonation resistance of concrete with or without Mg(OH)2 as a carbon immobilizer is investigated in this study. The carbonation rate of the concrete is evaluated with the accelerated carbonation tests. The results show that 4.8% of Mg(OH)2 in the binder of concrete can reduce the carbonation depth to about 50%. Microstructural analysis show that the Mg(OH)2 reacts with CO2 and water to form the hydromagnesite, via which the CO2 is immobilized.
