Assembly and Applications of Carbon Nanotube Thin Films

Dr. Hongwei Zhu is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University, China. He received his B.S. (1998) and Ph.D. (2003) degrees from Tsinghua University. After graduation, he pursued a research on Electron Microscopy in National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan. Between 2004 and 2007, he was a post-doctoral researcher hosted by Prof. Bingqing Wei at the University of Delaware and Louisiana State University. His research interests include synthesis, characterizations of nanomaterials and assembly of nano-devices, and their applications for energy storage and conversion. He has published more than 40 papers in refereed international journals, including Science, Nano Letters and Applied Physics Letters.
