Progress of lung re-transplantation treatment

Lung re-transplantation is the ultimate treatment of chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD) after initial lung transplantation. The total number and proportion of lung re-transplantation are relatively small around the world, but it has become more frequent in recent years. Survival after lung re-transplantation has improved over time, but still lags behind that of initial lung transplantation. This review focused on the topic of lung re-transplantation and incorporated several new related analyses from the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT).
