摘要
The effect of hydrazine concentration on the intercalation rate is investigated as the Maoming kaolinite is intercalated by hydrazine. It has been found that there exist a low threshold and optimized value of hydrazine concentration for the kaolinite intercalation. In addition to the common space 1.04 nm, a new interlayer space distance 0.97 nm, was observed when the kaolinite was intercalated by high concentration hydrazine (≥24 mol/L). The appearance of such new space is attributed to keying of the —NH 2 moiety of hydrazine into the siloxane ditrigonal cavity, according to infrared spectroscopy.
