Performance testing methods of video codec for digital monitor system

At present,there are no standards and methods on video codec's performance testing.According to some indexes which users care most in practice,this paper proposed test methods and principles for definition,moving image quality,codec delay and video stream.By comparisons,the differences and applications of the two test methods on the codec delay were discussed.This will offer references to inspection work of video codec quality evaluation and digital monitor system.
