The Power Pyramid in Catastrophe

In the short play of Samuel Beckett,Catastrophe,the power relation is compared to a pyramid,where the three main roles of the play have their respective positions.The director is the powerful one on the top of the pyramid,the protagonist at the bottom has no power,and the assistant is in the middle with semi-power.Through the analysis of the power relations in the play,the conclusion shows that the play is produced to reflect its contemporary political reality.
