Application of Predictive PI for the Control of Non-minimum Phase Water Turbine System

In the practical application,the minus overshoot of non-minimum phase system will seriously impact the smooth operation. This paper uses simple predictive PI with estimating function to integrate the contradiction between the minus overshoot and settling time. Simulation results of different working conditions show that the presented control strategy can decrease the minus overshoot and overshoot simultaneously under the premise of assuring the same settling time and has satisfactory robust performance.
