In this paper, using vanadium pentoxide and sulfuric acid as raw materials, through chemical synthetic prepared electrolyte for vanadium battery.When the sulfuric acid which is supporting electrolyte is 2 mol/L, the electrochemical properties of different vanadium ion concentration of positive electrolyte were studied.When the vanadium ion is 1.5 mol/L and 3 mol/L, add ethanol and KHSO4 to positive electrolyte and then tested them by cyclic voltammetry.The experimental results show that when the support of sulfuric acid electrolyte concentration is 2 mol/L and without any additives, electroactive material V4+ is 2.5 mol/L, the electrochemical activity is best, the current density is maximum; when V4+ concentration is less than 2.5 mol/L, adding ethanol and KHSO4 is no effect to the electrochemical additives; when V4+ concentration is greater than 2.5 mol/L, alcohols which have complexing effect will decrease electrolyte electrochemical activity, and nonalcohols have little effect.
