The Suzuki coupling reactions catalyzed by metal palladium catalysts is one of the most important reactions in C-C coupling reactions. In this paper, the research progress of Suzuki reaction catalyzed by Pd catalysts in recent years were reviewed, including the Suzuki reaction mechanism, kinds of the ligands and its applications in organic synthesis. The Pd-catalysts containing N, P ligands and the ligand-free Pd-catalysts supported on CNTs, magnetic materials, porous materials, hydrotalcite, metal oxide and polymer materials were introduced.
