Electrochemical and spectro-electrochemical properties of n-oxo-tetrabromophthalocyaninato iron ([TBPcFe],O) were studied. The experimental results showed that u-oxo-tetrabromoph-thalocyaninato iron undergoes three one-electron redox reactions, the half-wave potentials (E1/2) of which are 0.06V,-0.75V and -1.33V (Hg2Cl,/Hg reference),corresponding to Fe3+/ Fe2+,Fe2+/Fe+and TBPc2-/TBPc3- respectively. The typical spectra of the corresponding; complexes were also observed in the spectro-electrochemical studies.
