A new process is developed for sulfuric acid production from phosphogypsum raw material. The raw materials in the experiment are simulative phosphogypsum and a compound reducing agent(gas or solid). The influences of such factors as the reaction temperature, resident time and formula of solid reducing agent on the conversion ratio are discussed with orthogonal experiments. The corresponding regression equation between the above-mentioned experimental factors and the conversion ratio, and the optimum scheme of various experimental factors are obtained by multiply linear regression. With the reaction temperature of 950℃,resident time of 3 hours, the reaction nearly goes to its end.
