In this technologically developed era, huge efforts are being taken in order to enhance the techniques related with electricity generation with Microbial Fuel cells. The significant objective is to improve their potential capacity towards application in the real world. By employing the recent improvements in the field of organic chemistry and bio-technology, it is much easier to enhance the characteristic performance and efficiency of MFCs which further helps us to produce more electricity. With the help of these set up, we can accomplish much reduced production cost, high portability. In order to accomplish our need, Polymeric foam substrate and bio-electrodes are incorporated in the constructed cell to generate electricity with more power density. By employing the recent inventions and applications in Nanotechnology in the design of conducting materials in MFC has enhanced the performance to considerable extent. The improved power density gained is about 5.25W/m2.
