USE - A jet fuel composition for Ramjet propulsion system. ADVANTAGE - The fuel composition has high density and thermal stability, lower aromatic content, flash point of greater than or equal to 60 degrees C, lower viscosity, and high calorific value. Technology Focus TECHNOLOGY FOCUS - ORGANIC CHEMISTRY - Preferred Compositions: Jet fuel composition contains 70-80 vol.% aviation turbine fuel with boiling point of 200-260 degrees C, 15-20 vol.% synthetic pentacyclotetradecane, 5-15 wt.% decahydronapthalene, and 0.02 wt.% auxiliary component. Auxiliary component is 2,6-di-tert.-butyl-4-methylphenol. |
