HERO ID 8358724 Year 1989 Authors Frankovskii, VA; Pyatnitskii, IV; Aleinova, AP Volume 55 Issue 5 Page Numbers 41-44 Abstract Distribution of dyes, trioctylamine, oils, and fats between three liquid systems was studied: 3 M aqueous sodium chlorides solution-acetonitrile-hexane. It was shown that fats and oils are predominately extracted into the alkane phase, the dye is distributed between aqueous and acetonitrile phases as a function of structure, and trioctylamine is found in the acetonitrile phase at pH 0-4 and is quantitatively redictributed into the hexane phase at pH 8-13. A method was developed for the distribution and determination of a mixture of four organic materials (two dyes, trioctylamine, and a fat or oil) by carrying out two parallel three-phase extractions at pH 0-4 and 9-13.
