The CT scan and the angiography revealed occlusive stenosis of several arteries: left subclavian, celiac, renal, superior mesenteric and abdominal aorta. This findings were consistent with Takayasu's arteritis. The patient underwent surgical revascularization to bypass the occlusive lesions in celiac and superior mesenteric arteries, and the stenosis in abdominal aorta. Subsequent controls showed that she remains free of cardiovascular symptoms three years after surgery but presents progression of her inflammatory bowel disease. |
