摘要
The review is devoted to the problem of nonspecific mesenteric lymphadenitis (NML) in children caused by viral infections. The children's immune system actively interacts with pathogens, which can lead to the development of NML. Diagnosis of this condition is a challenge for the doctor, since its symptoms may coincide with other diseases of the abdominal cavity, complicates the determination of an accurate diagnosis and treatment. The COVID-19 pandemic has expanded the understanding of the mechanisms of NML development, but has not provided sufficient information about treatment. Some patients continue to be subjected to unnecessary invasive examination methods, and the use of ultrasound for differential diagnosis of acute abdominal syndrome in children remains an urgent problem. We have limited number of studies devoted to the treatment of NML in children, all the data presented are ambiguous and need to be improved. The purpose of the review is to analyze the available data for deeper understanding of this condition. Key words: acute mesadenitis, children, viral infections, abdominal pain
