Recent Research Progress on Hydroxylamine Synthesis and Applications of Hydroxamic Acid

Several synthetic methods of hydroxamic acid from hydroxylamine at home and abroad are described,including the synthesis principles.The conventional methods of hydroxamic acid synthesis by reacting carboxylate,acyl chloride and carboxylic acid with hydroxylamine are emphatically introduced.The microwave-assisted method and the continuous flow reactor method are also involved.The two methods give a high yield with in a short time,which makes them deserve further study. In addition,the applications of hydroxamic acid in the fields of flotation,extraction and medicine are described.
