Brief review on degenerative disease of central nervous system

Central nervous system degenerative disease is a group of 12 disorders stemed from unknown etiology and pathogenesis,and characterized by a progressive degeneration of neurons.The systems degeneration always occurs in a particular subset of neurons with a particular functional significance undergoes atrophy and ultimately is lost.This neuronal loss is frequently accompanied with astrocytosis,gliosis and specific neuropathologic markers,such as Lewy body in Parkinson's disease.In this brief review,a general introduction of clinic symptom,pathologic process and possible pathogenesis of 12 disorders in central nervous system degenerative disease was presented.
