摘要
In the present study, a placebo-controlled, double-blind study was conducted to investigate hypotensive effects of the daily intake of tablets containing “Lactotripeptides (Val-Pro-Pro, Ile-Pro-Pro)” chronically for 8 weeks in individuals who had mild or moderate hypertension without treatments with internal drugs (test group ; male/female = 29/13, mean 45.8±11.1 years of age, placebo group ; male/female = 30/9, mean 45.9±9.5 years of age). In the test group, SBP decreased significantly after 2 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment, by 7.4±9.6 mmHg (p<0.001) and 12.4±10.9 mmHg (p<0.001), respectively, and DBP also decreased significantly after 2 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment, by 6.7±13.2 mmHg (p<0.01) and 8.1±12.7 mmHg (p<0.001), respectively, as compared to those before the initiation of intake. In the placebo group, in contrast, no changes in blood pressure were observed during the experimental period. The decrease in SBP and DBP during the experimental period in the test group was significantly greater than in the placebo group. In addition, adverse effects such as dry cough, digestive tract symptoms or abnormal changes were not observed.
