The effects of factors(i.e.,sample mass, heating and cooling rates) on the recurrence, resolution or accuracy of theor-moporometry(TPM) experimental results were investigated via the proposed theoretical calculation model and TPM method for the characterization of pore structure of cement-based material. The results obtained by TPM were compared to the results tested by ni-trogen adsorption method(NAD).It was indicated that the results by TPM during cooling period could be used to characterize the pore structure of cement-based materials when the sample quality was 30 mg and the cooling testing rate was 1 ℃/min,which were similar to the results by NAD.The basic parameters of TPM were also determined.
