A kind of organic field-effect transistor(OFET) is fabricated with poly-(methylmethacrylate)(PMMA) as the gate insulator and 6,13-bis(triisopropyl-silylethynyl) pentacene(TIPS-pentacene) as the active layer. The PMMA dielectric is fabricated by solution-casting method. Moreover, the gold(Au) is employed as the source and drain electrodes. The characteristics of TIPS-pentacene thin film upon polymer insulator are carefully studied by Atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) techniques. The device shows a good electronic performance with the field-effect mobility of 0.137 cm2/Vs,threshold voltage of-19 V and on/off ratio of 9.74×104.Furthermore,the stability of OFET is also investigated.
