The treatment of the cancer patients with proteinuria

Objective To study the treatment results of the cancer patients with protienuria .Methods 290 cancer patients with protienuria were divided into two groups:the treated group and the controlled group.All the patients' clinical manifestation and the changes in urine after having been treated were monitored.The data of the patients were contrasted by analysis of controlled\|trials.Results In treatment group,the proteinuria disappeared in 39 cases(16.9%),and proteinuria reduced in 78 cases (33.5%).The chemotherapy,radiotherapy and the pre\|treatment contents of proteinuria had no significant effects on patients' proteinuria.After treatment,the proteinuria that disappeared or reduced in cancer patients was positively correlated with patients' survival time( r 0.96).Compared with the patients whose contents of proteinuria no\|changed of increased,the survival time of those whose the contents of protienuria disappeared of reduced after treatment had increased significantly (χ 2=11.68, P 0.05).Conclusion The contents of proteinuria can be used to diagnosis cancer, to select regimens,to assess the treatment results and to evaluate the prognosis in the cancer patients.
