ChemInform Abstract: Hydrosilylation of Epoxides Catalyzed by a Cationic η1‐Silane Iridium(III) Complex.

Abstract A cationic silane complex, generated in situ from the depicted Ir‐acetone complex, catalyzes the hydrosilylation of epoxides (I), (IV), (VI), (VIII), and (X) as well as cyclic ethers, such as (XIII), to afford the silyl‐protected alcohols, regioselectively.
