Determination of Free Lithium in Li-B Alloys.

A method has been developed for the extraction of the free lithium phase from lithium-boron alloys. This procedure extracts the lithium from the alloy using dry naphthalene - THF mixtures. The lithium is analyzed and the composition of the remaining LixBy compound determined. (Author)
