Baud-Rate Timing Phase Detector for Systems with Severe Bandwidth Limitations

A novel timing phase detector using one sample per symbol is developed. The phase detector is especially suitable for systems suffering from serious bandwidth limitations. Its superior performance is demonstrated in simulations and experiments.
