Efficient construction of hard carbon through hydrothermal carbon coating engineering toward enhanced sodium–ion storage performance

Using glucose as the coating agent, porous carbon (PC) is coated via direct pyrolysis and hydrothermal-assisted strategies. The polyfuran polymer formed by hydrothermal reaction of glucose enables the conversion of PC into hard carbon effectively.
