A thermogravimetric(TG) study of the co-pyrolysis of pine sawdust with lignite were carried out under different blending ratios by weight. The kinetic parameters were determined by transition state theroy. And the interaction between pine sawdust and lignite during co-pyrolysis was investigated. The results show that the derivative thermogravimetric(DTG) curves of co-pyrolysis exhibit two weight loss peaks, corresponding to the pyrolysis of sawdust and lignite, respectively. The corresponding temperature of two peaks increased with the increase of the percentage of lignite added in the blends. The reaction of co-pyrolysis occurred easyer than that of lignite alone. The positive interaetion effects in the third stage of the co-pyrolysis are suggested, and this effects was significant at the blending ratio of lignite with 50 %.
