In order to make a standard procedure for the safe use of carbendazim on soil and processing tomato,a tomato field experiment was conducted and the residue dynamic of carbendazim in soil were analyzed by HPLC.Results showed that the recovery rates ranged from 87.3% to 94.5%,and the determination limits was 0.03 mg/kg in soil. The residues of carbendazim in soil were occupied for 30%~46% of the initial concentration 7 days after treatment and were no more than 10% of that 28 days after treatment. The final residues of carbendazim in soil were less than the limit of detection(≤0.03 mg/kg) 60 days after treatment. With the carbendazim concentration increase in the residues of carbendazim in soil were increased and the half-lives of carbendazim in soil were shorted. The half-lives of carbendazim in soil of processing tomato field were from 6.48 to 10.27 d.
