In this work, we developed a novel strategy to electrochemically immobilize electrogen, Shewanella oneidensis MR-1, into graphite and polypyrrole (PPy) matrix, forming conductive artificial biofilm (CAB). MFCs with this CAB as anode achieved a maximum power density of 207 mW/m 2 , which was almost 12 times of MFCs with natural biofilm grow on the carbon cloth.
