Electrooptical oscillator using an integrated cutoff modulator

An integrated optical cutoff modulator is fed back electrically. In this way an electrooptical oscillator is built applicable as optical clock generator or electrical switchable oscillator for optical communication systems. Its center frequency is 380 MHz with a stability of 6 × 10-5. The mode structure of the oscillator is investigated.
