Development of metal-organic frameworks in adsorptive separation of CH_4/N_2

The development of metal-organic frameworks is briefly introduced. The studies on MOFs for the separation of CH4/ N2 are mainly reviewed from the aspects of methane-selective and nitrogen-selective MOF adsorbents.The MOF adsorbents are compared with the traditional adsorbents as well. In the end,the prospects of upgrading the coalbed methane by pressure swing adsorption using MOFs as adsorbents are proposed.
