A finite element formulation of uncoupled thermoviscoelastic response of plane problems for all admissible values of Poisson's ratio

Abstract A variational theorem and the finite element method of solution are presented for the solution of thermoviscoelastic stress analysis of linear materials, valid for all admissible values of Poisson's ratio. An illustrative example is included.
