Research on the dyeing behavior of real silk fabrics with natural plant dye from henna

Dyeing expts.were carried out on silk fabrics with henna,and orthogonal expts.were used to choose the dyeing temp.,bath pH and mordant dyeing conditions.The results showed that it was convenient to dye at 80 ℃ and bath pH of 4 with henna concn.of 5%.The color was deepened and the dye fastness was improved when aluminum or iron salt was used as the mordant.
