Bisphenol A Polycarbonate(PC) was synthesized by transesterification between bisphenol-A and diphenyl carbonate in supercritical carbon dioxide. The structure of PC was testified by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. The results of GPC showed that there are two different reaction mechanism, linear condensation and circling reaction, in the synthesis process; the molecular weight (MW) is 1.17×105 and Pd is 1.33. The DSC curves showed that supercritical carbon dioxide can plasticize PC and the Tg of PC is decreased.
